REVERSE ENGINEERING3D Scan, CAD & SLM Metal Reproduction

Send us your physical part – we measure it, rebuild the 3D-CAD model and produce a precise 1:1 metal replica in 316L stainless steel or Titanium TC4 using SLM additive manufacturing in Berlin.

    HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

    01

    Photos & Inquiry

Upload photos of your part from every angle. We respond within 24 hours with a first cost estimate.

    02

    Send the Original

Ship the original part to our Berlin workshop – it serves as a 1:1 reference for measurement.

    03

    Measurement & CAD

We capture the geometry with ±0.3 mm tolerance and rebuild the full 3D-CAD model.

    04

    SLM Print & Return

Your replica is printed in metal and shipped back together with the original part.

WHY CHOOSE OUR REVERSE ENGINEERING SERVICE

    • No CAD file required – we rebuild geometry from the physical part.
    • SLM metal 3D printing in 316L stainless steel and Titanium TC4.
    • Measurement tolerance ±0.3 mm (under 100 mm) / ±0.4 % above.
    • Local workshop in Berlin-Marienfelde, Germany-wide shipping.
    • Original part is always returned together with the replica.
    • Verbindliches Angebot innerhalb von 24 Stunden / binding quote within 24 hours.

    TYPICAL REVERSE ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS

Whenever a metal part is discontinued, broken or undocumented, reverse engineering turns the physical object back into a manufacturable CAD model – and into a new metal part.

    Obsolete machine spare parts

Discontinued components for production machines, pumps and gearboxes – rebuilt from the worn original.

    Classic car & motorcycle parts

Brackets, levers, housings and fittings for vintage vehicles that are no longer available anywhere.

    Industrial fittings & fixtures

Flanges, nozzles, clamps and custom fixtures in corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel.

    Tooling & jigs

Reproduce and improve existing tools, jigs and fixtures in metal – with optional design changes.

    REVERSE ENGINEERING FAQ

How much does reverse engineering of a metal part cost?

The price consists of the CAD reconstruction and the metal 3D printing itself. Metal parts start at 29 € in 316L stainless steel and 39 € in Titanium TC4. Send us photos and you receive a quote within 24 hours.

Do I need a CAD file for the reproduction?

No. We only need the physical part and photos – we measure your component and build the complete 3D CAD model for you.

How accurate is the 1:1 replica?

Dimensional tolerance is ±0.3 mm below 100 mm and ±0.4 % for larger parts. Production is done by SLM (selective laser melting) in 316L stainless steel or Titanium TC4.

Will I get my original part back?

Yes. Your original is always returned together with the replica – we only need it for exact measurement.

How long does the whole process take?

Typically 20–30 days including CAD reconstruction, SLM production and shipping.

Which parts are suitable for reverse engineering?

Obsolete machine spare parts, classic car components, industrial fittings, tooling, brackets, housings and any discontinued part with no remaining CAD data.
